Experimentation

I have been working on some little, paper mache, creatures. I have seen that there is such a thing a paper mache clay. I thought it would be a nice experiment and change to see if I can adapt it into my art pieces.

What is it that im trying out? the medium is paper mache clay. I started with just paper napkins and elmers glue however I wasn’t getting the smooth like texture i wanted. So I went to the closest HOme Depot and got Some joint compound (not the dap brand) with Titebond glue.

I added a ear or two to the creatures and a small extra layer to them to see how it would turn out. Whislt that was drying I took my Halloween prop of a skull and used it for experimenting with smoothing the paper clay out. Im actually impressed with how it came out, Just not how it was hard to stick and stay in the place I wanted it to be. I did not make it how I was told to by Jonni of ultimate paper mache. I just added more glue and compound to what I already had…

so forth, it is to still be tested! I'm kinda not liking my creatures at the moment..I'll have to play around and see if I can get to like them.
